A.O.C./A.O.P.

This is the smallest of the Saint-Emilion satellite appellations and in fact most growers sell their wines as Montagne-Saint-Emilion. The range of varietals is traditional with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Malbec and Carmenere.

The wines of this appellation

The consistency of the terrain is mirrored in the quality of the wines. They display an intense crimson hue, are fruity and gain complexity as they mature. They are well-constituted, mild, fat and boast velvety tannins. They enhance red meat and game.
