This is the smallest of the Saint-Emilion satellite appellations and in fact most growers sell their wines as Montagne-Saint-Emilion. The vineyards are located exclusively along rolling hillsides and face south or south-west. The range of varietals is traditional with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Malbec and Carmenere.
