The wines of this appellation

the whites are robust, lively, well-balanced, delicate and subtle. They display a pale golden hue, with aromas of apple, hazelnut, spices and occasionally violet. The reds are elegant, delicate, fleshy and lively and their staying power makes them reminiscent of Mercurey wines. They display a glistening ruby-red hue and aromas of lilac, freshly-cut grass, violet, raspberry, cherry and crushed strawberries. The reds make a suitable partner for free-range poultry and white meats, the whites for pike quenelles, snails, veal escalope with a cream sauce and all white meats in a sauce.
