Ladoix is in fact not a village but a hamlet within the parish of Ladoix-Serrigny. With around 140 ha under vine, it is nevertheless considered as a village appellation and embraces 12 climate sites classed as first growths. Climate sites classed as first growths: La Micaude, La Corvée, Le Clou d’Orge, Les Joyeuses, Bois Roussot, Basses Mourottes, Hautes Mourottes.

Grape varieties: Vins rouges : pinot noir. Vins blancs secs : Chardonnay

The wines of this appellation

with their fragrances of raspberry, cherry and undergrowth, the red wines are relatively robust and fleshy, with body and character. The first growths display great structure and more predominant tannins. Try with veal liver, roasted red meats, game. With their aromas of ripe apple, fresh fig and walnut, the whites are firm when young, gradually mellowing as they age.
