The wines of this appellation

predominantly red wines with fragrances of raspberry, morello cherry and blackcurrant, leading into crystallised fruit. They are light, supple, fruity, with low acidity and tannins. Their elegance outweighs their tannin content. They are delicate and feminine and are usually at their peak within their first decade. Pair with poultry fricassee, barbecued meats, mildly flavoured game birds or roast guinea fowl.
