a village appellation in the Côte de Beaune, set in the village of the same name and the neighbouring village of Ladoix-Serrigny. The wines are virtually all reds from Pinot noir with a minute proportion of whites grown on 0.5 ha. The soils are formed of whitish marl and brown or yellowish Callovian or Upper Bathonian limestone. Climate sites classed as first growths: Several climate-specific sites are classed as first growths (37.5 ha in total). In Aloxe-Corton: Les Valozières, Les Paulands, Les Maréchaudes, Clos des Maréchaudes, Les Chaillots, Les Fournières, Clos du Chapitre, Les Guérets, Les Vercots. In Ladoix-Serrigny : Clos des Maréchaudes, La Maréchaude, Les Petites Lolières, Les Moutottes, La Coutière, La Toppe au Vert.
