these particular rosés are grown throughout Anjou, including the Saumur area. The Grolleau varietal forms the backbone of the blend but Cabernets, Gamay, Pineau d’Aunis and Cot can also be added, with no restriction on quantity.

they are fruity, light, thirst-quenching wines which are lively, round, soft, delicate, velvety and mild with a slightly sweet taste. Sugar content is offset by alcohol and acidity. They display a pale pink hue (onion peel) and predominantly fruity fragrances (raspberry, red currant, strawberry and pear drop). Recommended food pairings: cooked cold pork meats, white meat, grilled red meat and pork with grapefruit.
