The wines of this appellation

grown on Bajocian limestone type soils with patches of marl, the reds are well-constituted, generous, robust, relatively tannic and rich in alcohol. Firm and blessed with good acidity, they exhibit animal or even wild notes (fur, musk), as well as red and black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry). Try with a leg of lamb, game, red meat in a sauce, mature cheeses.
