Crémant du Jura shares the same appellation area as Côtes du Jura. This fruity wine is made from Savagnin and Chardonnay for the whites and Poulsard, Pinot noir, Pinot gris and Trousseau for the reds. The local climate promotes good acidity in the grapes, making Jura suitable for producing sparkling Crémant wines. This particular type of sparkler undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle.
